Wow! That is alot of acronymns ;) Here is what I have done this year to address LFS and CFF
1. Each student in my class has a blog (I use blogmeister.com). Let me know if you are interested in seeing it. We also have a class blog.
2. Students can post in their own blog and have other students in the classes comment on their posts. (CFF part - collaboration)
3. I use LFS by posting my Essential question and having the kids comment or "answer" the questions.
So far it is going well....Kids love the blogging element of this. We only started last week, so I will keep you updated. - LisaHarveyLisa Harvey
I am new to the LFS, so am really focusing on the EQ and some vocab strategies. For the EQ I do "row competitions" and have the rows huddle together to see which comes up with the best answer to the EQ. I also have the EQ on the board with the chapters vocab underneath and ask the students to tell me which 3 vocab words must one use to answer the EQ and why. THe students then discuss and debate the "must have" vocab words and their reasons before they even formulate their EQ answers.
